This is an interesting way of spinning a poll- first the headline
December 23, 2009 - U.S. Voters Believe In Global Warming, Mixed On Treaty, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Obama Under 50% As Support For Afghan War Drops
Now note what it says about global warming
American voters believe 59 - 34 percent that the earth is getting warmer, but most voters say the U.S. should not sign a treaty promising to reduce greenhouse gases, or should not sign such a treaty unless other nations do the same, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. Among voters who believe in global warming, 57 percent believe it is caused by human activity.
So 59 % of Americans believe it is getting warmer but of those 59% only 57% believe it is caused by man. So in fact a majority of Americans do not believe in man made global warming though a majority do believe it is getting warmer. If my math is correct what the poll actually shows is that only 33.6% of American believe in man made global warming.
Nice little trick there huh?
