Skeptics From Around the Globe

UNITED STATES

Frank J. Tipler-Professor of Mathematical Physics, astrophysics, Tulane Univeristy,

"Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) is a scam, with no basis in science....
....It is obvious that anthropogenic global warming is not science at all, because a scientific theory makes non-obvious predictions which are then compared with observations that the average person can check for himself. As we both know from our own observations, AGW theory has spectacularly failed to do this. The theory has predicted steadily increasing global temperatures, and this has been refuted by experience. NOW the global warmers claim that the Earth will enter a cooling period. In other words, whether the ice caps melt, or expand --- whatever happens --- the AGW theorists claim it confirms their theory. A perfect example of a pseudo-science like astrology."

  1. well said.

the critical importance of scientific falsifiability has been thrown out the window, but that's okay for the alarmist crowd... it's the only leg they're standing on. however, that is also the bane shared by many who realize that any enlightened scientist should be a skeptic, and realizing the context of semantics understand that skeptic is not synonymous with 'denier'. isn't that the pot calling the kettle black... ;-]

giving the word skeptic a bad rep. who else but the fools that still cant spot this as the grossly political farce that it is.

i commend you for speaking your mind.

  2. I am a fan of Tipler's book, "The Physics of Immortality" but when it comes to global warming, barring, the complex equations required to prove or disprove (I am no physicist) I can only apply basic common sense that we all possess about our physical environment. With the enormous amounts of greenhouse gasses emitted each year by the humans I don't understand how it couldn't affect our planet. Warming seems the next obvious conclusion but if not, then I simply cannot believe that that it is not affecting our planet in anyway whatsoever. Man simply leaves too strong of a footprint.

If it advanced physics are capable of nullifying my "common sense" then its words of wisdom truly need to be disseminated more profusely. And I have not seen them enough.

Someone please tell me what our emmition of greenhouse gasses DOES do to the planet, becuase by the laws of cause and effect, "nothing" cannot be a valid answer.
